The content provenance platform

One platform. Mark anything. Verify every supported signal.

One vendor. One integration. Every output type. Encypher handles the technical marking, detection, identity, timestamp, and evidence layer for Article 50 across text, images, audio, video, and files.

One endpoint. Separate evidence. Encypher supplies technical infrastructure and evidence. Your team and counsel retain responsibility for legal scope, disclosure, and governance.

Enterprise needs?

One platform, four jobs

Mark writes the record. Verify reads every supported signal. Meter and Trace turn it into action.

Start with the technical Article 50 job in front of you. The same evidence supports trust, licensing review, and leak response.

One shared evidence chain

A publisher signs a story with Mark. Meter connects that signed source to an AI answer and its reported use. Trace identifies the marked recipient copy if protected material appears where it should not.

What the platform includes

What one integration gives you

Built on C2PA with provenance embedding across 86 file and media formats.

    Marking and signing

C2PA provenance and content-level marks for text, images, audio, video, documents, fonts, and live streams

  3. 3

    Watermark routing

Current Encypher marks today; qualified specialist providers selected by modality and policy as they launch

  4. 4

    Identity and trust

Organization identity, claim-signing CA, timestamps, and public C2PA records

  5. 5

    Evidence and policy

Separate cryptographic, watermark, recovery, and policy results in one review path

  6. 6

    Distribution

WordPress, Prebid ad-tech, CDN edge, REST API, CLI, browser extension

For production review

Check how we integrate, run the service, and handle data

Use the public material below for technical diligence. Volume limits, support terms, regional processing, and service levels belong in a scoped pilot and contract. This page does not commit to them.

Use each record where it matters

Trust the source, support the deal, and respond when content moves

Sign once. Use the record for customer trust, licensing talks, and leak response.

One integration across every output type

Mark and verify text, photos, audio, video, documents, websites, and live streams without assembling a separate vendor stack for each medium.

The right mark for the medium

Encypher applies signed provenance and current content-level marks across text and supported media. Each watermark claim carries its tested transformation limits; stronger partner profiles appear only after they qualify.

One verification endpoint

Check C2PA credentials and supported watermark signals in one request. When the applicable watermark and resolver are present, C2PA soft binding can recover linked provenance after embedded metadata is removed.

See where your signed work appeared

See when known AI crawlers fetch pages from your site. Add sightings from the browser extension and image matches from participating organizations. Encypher does not crawl the whole web or see inside an AI answer. The report states exactly what Encypher saw.

Rights at every level

Rights profiles, licensing terms, and usage policies travel inside the file. Per-segment rights let you license one part of an article under Creative Commons and keep another part exclusive. Because the terms are machine readable, an AI company can read them before it ingests the work.

Coalition licensing

Coalition membership is opt-in. Every format you opt in is indexed for licensing deals. Direct deals you negotiate yourself stay 100% yours; coalition-brokered deals share a portion with Encypher, with exact terms in your coalition agreement.

Make the rest of your stack stronger

Add proof where policies, access controls, and detection tools stop

Access controls tell systems what should happen. Detection tools estimate what may have happened. Encypher preserves the signed record of what the content said, who signed it, and how it moved.

Layer 1

Access control

robots.txtTollBitCloudflare

Tell AI crawlers not to scrape. These tools work at the server level, but only when AI companies respect your directives.

Some crawlers ignore these signals. The record inside the file still shows which terms travelled with the work.

Layer 2

Content provenance

Encypher MarkEncypher MeterEncypher Trace

Mark signs AI output, published work, and official files. Trace gives each sent copy its own hidden marker. Meter combines signed source records with events a partner shares in a report both sides can review. Meter is an early partner program.

Layer 3

Attribution and monetization

ProRataDappierMicrosoft PCM

Marketplaces estimate which sources shaped an AI output and route revenue inside their networks. Mark gives them a signed record and terms they can check. Meter can combine that record with events a partner reports for licensing review. Encypher does not price content, broker deals, or move money.

Signed source records make attribution claims easier to check. Meter is an early partner program, and each report says which facts Encypher saw and which a partner supplied.

Interoperability and policy evidence

Each row says what Encypher implements and what that claim does not mean.

C2PA 2.2Official conformance recordGenerator product at assurance Level 1, with generation and validation coverage across 20 media types. That record is narrower than the 86 formats Encypher signs and verifies, and the two numbers never mean the same thing.
C2PA 2.4Current implementation targetUnstructured-text signing follows the method carried forward in Appendix A.8. This is separate from the C2PA 2.2 product record.
RSL 1.0 + W3C ODRL 2.2Rights-policy outputMark can attach machine-readable rights terms at signing. This describes the policy formats emitted, not third-party certification.
SPUR FrameworkWorkflow mappingUsed to map signed-source records into publisher-to-AI licensing workflows. Encypher does not claim SPUR certification.
EU AI Act transparency codeEvidence workflowMark records marking and disclosure evidence for Article 50 review. It does not certify legal compliance.

Partners and OEM

Ship provenance inside your own product

The same engine behind Encypher can run under your brand.

White-label verification pages

Serve the signed result on your own domain, under your own brand. Your users check a file without leaving your product, and the signing math runs on Encypher servers.

OEM engine embedding

Put the signing and checking engine inside your CMS, DAM, or delivery platform. You get REST and SDK access, C2PA-standard output, and licence terms that grow with your rollout.
