Read each signal on its own
The report states whether a watermark was found, whether the credential checks out, and whether the content changed. One missing signal does not cancel the others.

How it works
Add marking after the model finishes.
One API call marks and signs the final output. Checking is a separate step. This supports Article 50(2) work. Your legal team decides which duties apply and whether you meet them.

Send the final output
Call Mark once the answer, image, audio, video, PDF, or Office file is finished.

Keep the returned evidence
Store the marked output, its identifiers, and the signed result beside the event your system already writes.

Check what the reviewer gets
Check the delivered result. Show your reviewer who signed it, what was declared, and whether it changed. Fix failed or missing checks before rollout.

What these marks prove, and what they do not.
Encypher covers 75+ formats for signing and verification. That is signing and checking, not watermark coverage. None of it is a legal conclusion about your duties.
- C2PA 2.4 is the default signing version. Version support varies by format: 76 of the 79 formats list it today.
- Watermark support is narrower than signing support. No watermark survives every edit, resize, or transcode. A check reports what it found in the copy you gave it.
- Our formal C2PA conformance record covers version 2.2 over 20 media types. That record is narrower, and it is not a 2.4 pass.
