Signing and the check take a few seconds.

What the label tells you.

A check reads four facts from it.

A gold tag on the thread reads Made by: Town Daily and Made with AI: No, with the blue Encypher badge on it.
Who signed
The person or group whose key made the label.
When
The time of signing, sealed into the label.
AI use
What the signer said about AI. It is their statement, not our guess.
Changed or not
Whether anything changed since signing. One letter is enough to fail.
Where it lives
In text, inside characters that never show on screen. In images, video and PDFs, inside the file, using the open C2PAC2PA: The Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity: the group that publishes the open standard for content labels. standard.

The label does not prove the words are true, or who owns them.

Change it, and the check fails.

The label holds a fingerprint of exactly what was signed. Change one word or one bit after signing, and the fingerprint stops matching.

The sentence now says The pool opens Friday. The blue badge has cracked in two and turned gray, and a navy tag reads Changed.
  • For text, press Change a word for me, or type your own edit.
  • For an image or a video, press Change one bit for me. We flip one bit of the file and leave the label alone.
  • Copy and paste keeps a text label on most apps and sites. Some tools strip hidden characters. Then the check finds no label.

Good questions.

Why does the demo sign as Encypher?
Anyone can use this page, so it signs with our demo key. An account lets you sign your own work.
What can I try here?
Any text, plus images up to 8 MB, PDFs up to 10 MB and MP4 video up to 20 MB. The full product covers 75+ formats for signing and verification.
How does a label say a work was made with AI?
The text sample says so in its first sentence, and the signature seals that sentence. The image and video samples also carry a machine-readable AI declaration in the label.
Can I check a label without Encypher?
Yes. Images, video and PDFs open in any C2PA checker, such as Content CredentialsContent Credentials: The public name for a C2PA label, often shown as a small CR icon that opens who signed the content and what they declared. Verify. Text labels follow the C2PA standard for textC2PA text-provenance standard: The part of the C2PA standard that puts a signed label inside plain text, using invisible Unicode characters., which Encypher wrote.
Does the label prove the words are true?
No. It shows who signed it, what they declared, and if it changed. It does not check facts or decide who owns the work.
What does it cost?
Checking is free. Publishers sign their own stories free. AI work is free for 1,000 outputs a month, and paid plans start at $99 a month. See pricing.
